God seems to have this whole "He Knows Your Name" theme going on this trip.
A couple of weeks ago, my friend, Treva, told me that she felt God was going to give me a new name.
Last week, Julee brought a book over to my house called, He Knows Your Name, by Debbie Giese.
Julee feels that's there's three people on the JOURNEY that are suppose to get the book.
My friend, Catherine, who will be joining me in New Orleans to travel with me to Memphis & Nashville, gave me the scripture in Revelation 2:17b - "I'll also give a clear, smooth stone inscribed with your new name, your secret new name."
I told God, "I want a clear, smooth stone with my new name on it that I'll find on the JOURNEY." I'm still waiting, but I expect to find one.
Anyway, when I stopped at my first stop at Rick's RV, a guy there named Brett had a nametag on that said "Brent," but he had crossed out the "N" because that wasn't his name. His name is Brett. He said, "I've worked here 19 years, and they still don't even know my name."
Then when I arrived at the Boondocker site in Texas, I asked Robert, the host, what the steer's name was, and he said, "I don't know why, but he never got a name." I just thought that was a little weird, and I was starting to see a theme here.
Here's the CRAZY part...I told Mr. No Name Steer yesterday that I was sorry no one ever gave him a name, but I'm sure God knew his name, and we would name him before we left.
Julee joined me yesterday, and she thinks she doesn't hear from God very clearly, but I think she does. This is what happened:

SiSi is named, Part 2
I believe even the animals are important to God. He knows all their names. I believe Julee and I will see SiSi in heaven someday. We told him she can live at Julee's house in heaven (Jesus said in John 14:2 - "My Father's house has many rooms...and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."
So SiSi now has a name, and Julee knows she's heard from God no matter how CRAZY that may seem.
Love it!
ReplyDeleteI would love to do what you are doing. May God continue to bless your journey with adventure, peace, and revelation. I hope the book speaks to your heart.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debbie. Hope this sells lots of your books :)
DeleteSo much more to come!!
ReplyDeleteWhat are you going to name, Catherine? :)
DeleteI think we'll find the white stone! It will be your new name, Lory!
DeleteLory you are crazzeee for Jesus! Your writing is so inspiring. Great writing style and lot's of fun just like you. Margie and I are continuing to pray for your journey. He has brought you out to give you victory after victory. His light and love just flow so easily out of your fun. Setting people free, calling them into their destiny and their identity. Giving names to the animals and the people. Sounds like true Jesus lifestyle.
ReplyDeleteBrent
Hi Brent & Margie! So glad you're following along! Thanks for your prayers! I have some more posts but probably won't get to them until after New Orleans. Blessings!
DeleteMargie, God keeps filling up my gas tank too, but a little different than your way :)
