Remember I told you I would NOT be catching any sunrises on my way?
Yes, we are not known as the "StrickLATES" for nothing! (Auston is excluded)
So because of some very nice delays (prayer peeps and saying bye to
family & friends), I was a bit delayed and just literally threw everything in the camper.
I left my house at 4:20 pm when I was suppose to BE at Rick's by 4:00.
(Sorry Matt and guys)
This is what my camper looked like because I was late and just
threw everything in there.
OH MY!!!
When I arrived, I don't think the guys were very happy with me.
I needed my whole vent replaced in the bathroom because I had put my hand through the plastic when I was
trying to clean the screen. They told me the day before that my camper was too old to find that part, and I needed
the entire system that would usually cost over $100, but they would give me a discount because I told them they
could be famous if I mentioned them in my blog (it could happen). I show up at 4;45 to have that entire thing
replaced. Brett (also known as Brent & Burt...long story) attempts to change it out, but I needed a more expensive
one. BUT then the miracle happened!!! They decided to take that really expensive one apart and just use
the part that was missing from mine and even though I have an old camper, that part fit!!!! Brett & Matt were able
to fix the vent and still be done working on time!!! (well, closer to their regular quitting time) AND they didn't even
charge me!!!
Now I really hope they become famous.
Moral of the story...don't be late, but if you are, God can still do miracles!

Matt & Brett (great guys...great company)
Thanks, Rick's RV Center, for starting my JOURNEY on a great note!!!
BUT....I came out tonight after eating and found a BIG, FAT, FLAT TIRE!!!!!
Stayed tuned for more miracles tomorrow. Let's see what God will do!
Lory, You are my new hero. Now that summer is over and my routine is getting back to normal, I took the time to read most of this blog. I kept seeing parts of this story, but hadn't taken the time to put it all together. Instead of asking a million questions, I will try to figure them out by following the links to this on FB or directly. Again, I am so impressed and anxious to hear the updates. You have inspired me greatly!!! Cindy Biester
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy, I'm so happy you're on this JOURNEY with me. There's been so much happening, I'm almost not able to record it all!
DeleteYes, please keep following! Are you still in NJ? I'd love to see you while I'm there.
YEa GOd! If I ever get an RV of any kind I'm going to Rick's!
ReplyDeleteJulee, if you get an RV, you need to buy it from me! I want to sell them when I get back!
DeleteYou would break something cleaning, Monica.
ReplyDeleteNo kidding!
